A Staffer's Point of View

Welcome to the staff and volunteer blog.  Keeping up with Bill on the trail has been an incredible experience and now you can read all about our adventures and, more importantly, why we have decided that Bill Halter should be Governor.

My name is Nathan Hamilton and in addition to changing light bulbs, making signs and driving Bill around our beautiful state I get to be moderator for this blog. But it won't just be me you hear from on here - we have some great volunteers that have their own experiences and some other staffers with different insights into this amazing roller-coaster ride.

I wanted this first post to really let everyone know why I am working to make Bill our next governor.  It's actually pretty simple - I want Arkansas to reach its full potential.

I get discouraged every time I read that Arkansas is 49th in the nation in so many important categories like teacher pay, median income and bringing in federal research and development dollars.  I think that there has to be someone to help us strive for a better future.  As I learned about Bill Halter - his experience, personality and work ethic - I came to believe in his vision for Arkansas.

When I'm with Bill at an event and he talks about helping the people of Arkansas it's the exact same way he talks to us staffers in the headquarters.  And the most important thing that comes across when you hear Bill speak is the hope that he restores.  There is a way out of the bottom of those rankings and I have decided that Bill Halter is the one that will move us ahead.

If you have any questions about me or the campaign feel free to email (nathan@BillHalter.com [1]) or respond to this post.  I have to get back to scheduling our new batch of volunteers and uploading the new batch of photos onto this site (announcement day!!) but look forward to our next post from a volunteer who has been with us since day one.
