Let's Get It Started!

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to Bill’s new website and blog!

I’d like to begin by thanking all of the people who have helped Bill’s exploratory committee – the folks who have generously contributed money, the steering committee members who have generously contributed their time and counsel, and all the folks who have volunteered, particularly a number of young Democrats who continue to show me that the future of the Democratic Party in Arkansas is bright.

I encourage you all to poke around the website.  As the campaign moves forward, you can expect more content, particularly about the issues important to future of Arkansas.

In the meantime, we could use your help!  There are a few things you can do right now.

First, take a moment to share your story.  Go to our “Real Stories” section and let us know why the election of the next governor is important to you and your family’s own life.  With your help, we can show that this campaign isn’t just about politics, it’s about real people’s lives and making them better.

Second, spread the word.  Visit that section and send an e-mail to all your friends, family members and colleagues asking them to visit our site and to learn more about Bill Halter.

Third, volunteer and join our High Fives for Halter effort.  Give us your time.  Give us five bucks -- and get five of your friends or family members to give us five bucks and we can begin to get our message out and to move Arkansas forward into the future.

Thanks for visiting.  Come back often!  And in the words of the musical group “The Black Eyed Peas” I say “Let’s Get It Started!”

Talk to you soon!

Greetings from DC. I must say, Bill's buzz is reaching all the way to here in our nation's capital. I've seen a number of articles, and heard from a number of folks, all saying the same thing -- "wait... a candidate is actually TALKING about substantive issues? Actually ANSWERING questions?" Best of luck, Bill! Hopefully this will set an example for candidates across the nation.

I agree with Megan. I'm glad to see a politician discussing the issues and not sidestepping them. I would love to help with the campaign.....

We enjoyed meeting you guys, as well.  Hope to make it again, soon!  Bill is about to get married.  Saturday, actually.  So it'll be at least a week or so until he gets back.  But stay tuned!  We'll see you soon.  Feel free to drop in some time!

I'm in Wynne, AR and just wanted to tell you guys I'm glad that Mr. Halter is running. I saw him in Forrest City last month. A good debate is what Arkansas Democrats need right now. I am floored that you guys are actually discussing issues already, that's certainly not politics as usual - keep it up. Best of luck. Megan
